Help Identifying A car Bumper

Hello, I was sent here by a friend at a local hobby shop and he said that you guys could help me out.  I am building a model of a Starspeeder from a disney ride and I believe that the front of the ship is from a car model kit.  The filming model was built in 1985 so it would have to be from a vintage kit, unless they did a repop of it recently.  The part is about 6 inches long, which i believe would place it in the 1/24, 1/25th scale range.  I really am not famillar with old cars so anything that you guys can help me with will be very appriciated!

Thank you![View:http://cs.scaleautomag.com/SCACS/themes/sca/utility/Photobucket:550:0]

NASCAR Decals

I was wondering how to create vintage NASCAR decals or how to take an existing set of decals in one scale, and enlarge them to a bigger scale? Here's the deal, I know there are several sets of decals available of certain drivers' vintage NASCAR cars in 1/24 and 1/25 scale and smaller, but none in 1/18 scale, which is my preferred scale. I am currently working on custom 1/18 scale diecast models of cars for former USAC and IMCA drivers Don White and Ernie Derr. I have found decals for their cars in 1/24 scale, but I need to know if they can be enlarged to 1/18 scale and how to do so. I have the ability and materials to print my own decals, I just need the image file and get it to the right scale for printing. I have seen many homemade decals that were fairly poor quality and blurry or fuzzy, but I want mine to be nice and crisp. How do you create decals from scratch? Do they need to be hand drawn and scanned into a computer or what? It seems there aren't nearly enough 1/18 scale detailing items and such available for those of us who prefer the scale. I realize there aren't many kits in this scale, but I myself like to take existing models and customize them, so decals and other detailing items and accessories would be nice to see. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
