Subaru XV Concept

Subaru will be unveiling the new XV Concept on April 21-28, 2011 at the Shanghai Motor Show. The concept comes with a totally new design and will be equipped with the renowned Subaru?s Symmetrical AWD (All-Wheel Drive) system. Power will come from the latest generation Boxer engines. The XV previews the company’s next generation of crossover and combines the SUV practicality with a fashionable form.

Talking about the new concept, Subaru said in the official announcement: "The Subaru XV Concept is a design concept car that defines a new generation of crossover vehicle, blending exceptional SUV practicality with a fashionable form. It was specifically designed for customers who are looking for a vehicle offering looks, benefits and a packaging that stretch beyond those from the populated crowd of existing crossover models. At its heart is the core theme of "Enjoyment and Peace of mind", and a promise to deliver, in line with Subaru?s new brand statement, "Confidence in Motion".

Maserati GranCabrio by Novitec Tridente

With an affinity towards Italian sports cars, Novitec has taken to great lengths to ensure the utmost quality and style for Ferrari and Maserati models alike. We’ve already seen tuning programs for Maserati models such as the GranTurismo and the Quattroporte, so the next logical step for the primed tuning firm is the GranCabrio. Some may have expected this package to have come out long before it has, but perfection takes time and adding 150 HP to the sports car is rather close to perfection. Joining the power upgrade is a top speed that has been increased to 187 mph and a subtle aerodynamic package.

Pricing for the complete GranCabrio tuning program - including exterior and interior modifications - has yet to be announced, but if an engine upgrade is all that is desired then that will cost $26,800.

Hit the jump to read more about the Maserati GranCabrio by Novitec Tridente.

What constitutes a 'PRO BUILD'?

A friend of mine from Tennessee by the name of Tommy Dunn who races a Super Pro/Gas Dodge  Omni sent me an email the other day wanting to know what constituted a PRO BUILT model car. I told him that I didn't have the slightest clue even though I have built models (40 years) and sold models (since Ebay)  that I could not answer his question. It seems that he was annoyed by auctions listed on Ebay that did not qualify themselves as professionals but said that the model listed in the auction was "Pro Built". Does it really matter? To me, NO!... IT DOES NOT MATTER.....List it the way you want, sell it the way you want, who cares?? Tommy, I have known you since the 4th grade....Is it that important to know this? There can be 40,000 answers to this question and if anyone cares to chime in please do so...... To me there are Pro builders like Clay Kemp, Dirk Joseph, Wayne Stevens Jr., Mike Alverez, Ken Hamilton and so on but they don't advertise it or offer their models for sale like some do on Ebay or other venues.........I do sell on Ebay from time to time but I don't adverstise as Pro Built.....Even though I said there can be 40,000 answers to this I am anxious for you guys (and gals) to chime in on this subject....Pro or not, lets here what it takes to present (show or sell)  a Pro Built model car. Remember guys....Its model cars and not a matter of life and death. This is what we do as a hobby and for relaxation and fun.......Pro or not?? Remember folks, to keep it civil here....If you have an opinion post it .... but don't blast others for what they think or believe. What constitutes a PRO BUILD?
